It was a bit of a landslide. Here's the winner -  Beyond Romance January 12, 2026 Hello all my peeps and pups. Here in Western PA, it's cold. And then not. And then cold again. This year is confusing my urge to hibernate. My body wants to curl up on the sofa under twenty three blankets. But then I check the weather and think, it's supposed to be warmer. Maybe I should clean the incubators or the garden. Then it snows and drops back down to single digits. The frustration is too much. But I did get thee goat shed cleaned and the sofa blankets washed, just in time for the temperature to fall to 17 degrees. Oh, hey - I got invited to a IRL book event in Morgantown, WV on February 21st. As soon as I considered accepting, I did a full inventory of my print books and then put in an order for more. As I was looking over my books I took note of a couple tweaks that I'd been meaning to fix on the Lynx Clan paperbacks. And I thought, hey, why not fix those issues before I put the order in. That way I might even get some of the new ones right away. Then I got a little carried away as I'm wont to do... Check out the flats of those down below. I guess I'll be "good" and keep working on Guardian. (while on the sofa under more than a couple blankets.) I'm still working on the refresh for Lynx Clan 4: Forsaken. That one proved to be a little trickier with it's lighter background. I'll try to share it next week.  Work in Progress Update I'm continuing my work on Eagle Clan 4: Guardian. Something was bothering me about the opening and I just kept reworking it over and over again. But the other day while cleaning the goat pen and listening to the read aloud of the file... I might have unraveled the issue and found a way to make it work the way I hope. Yes, I do listen to my books (and lots of other books) while doing farm chores and outside projects. If my chickens ever learn to talk, I'll be in trouble. The quote: “Put me down. There’s no way I’ll be the sacrificial blond. See, I have brown hair." The answer: Lani said that line to her partner, Meryk. The story is Hotter than Hell and all my peeps can read it for free. There were twenty-two entries. Twenty-one were correct. And randomly drawn from those... (drum roll please The winner is snowbell69.  She's already decided to get the Bound by Amethyst ebook.   It  was fun connecting and I'll be running another "Who said that?" contest next week.
