Sadrina marveled that Pahele made it seem that she had a choice and yet none at all with the very same words. If Pahele willed it, she would be forced to accept it, and that sounded like imprisonment and enslavement to her.

Yet, she felt his gentle restraint. His domineering strength was held in check in every way. His fingers held her secure, but it was a gentle prison. His powers locked her within the realm, but he was also allowing her to have a will of her own.
